Hey y’all!
I grew up with Percy Jackson. I’m a huge fan of the books. I’ve read them I don’t know how many times. So combining crochet with Percy Jackson is so much fun to me. In saying that, today I’m featuring 16 Percy Jackson crochet patterns that I found from various crocheters across the internet.
If that sounds interesting to you, read on!

Percy Jackson Patterns
This blanket is such a cool representation of the different things in Greek mythology and Percy Jackson. From Hermes's flying shoes, to Poseidon's trident, to Zeus's master bolt. All the gods are represented.
Here's a pillow form of Zeus's lightening bolt from the blanket above.
If you want Camp Half Blood represented in your home, then this pillow is for you! I always wanted it in shirt form, but now I can just make it in a pillow.
Here's another pillow version of a square in the first blanket. It's a Greek/Roman helmet. It reminds me of Ares.
When reading the series I always thought it would be coolest to be a child of Poseidon. (Basic I know. I love water.) But here's a pattern for a Trident Pillow if you also think he's cool!
As someone who's afraid of heights, Hermes's flying shoes always gave me so much anxiety. I would've never used them. But they make a really cool grid pattern!
A really cool arrow pillow.
Now onto the greek mythology amigurumis. This one's Zeus with his master bolt. He looks really cool with his curly hair and beard!
This Poseidon looks really cool with with trident and blue toga. I love his crown as well!
This Ares looks just as scary as I picture him being if he was real! The red eyes really give it that effect.
I love this adorable version of Hermes. He looks like a cute mail carrier/leprechaun.
The beautiful Aphrodite. I love the hair and flowers included in this doll pattern!
I love the green woven in with this Gaia doll's hair. It really gives her that earthy feel!
I don't actually know a lot about Helios. I know he was the Titan of the sun before Apollo. But nevertheless, this is a cool representation of him.
This Hades doll is definitely giving off god of death vibes. And I love how there's a little Cerberus included!
They nailed Ouranos with this pattern. The hair, long beard, no clothes. Spot on.
What you’ll need for these patterns:
- A crochet hook – I recommend a pack that comes with every size, but if you’re on a budget, you can just get the hook size that the pattern uses. I use this crochet hook pack from Amazon. I had to superglue a couple of the hooks to the handles after awhile, but it’s a cheap starting point and I like the feel of the handles.
- Stitch Markers – To me, these are essential. Without them, you’d have to be 100% accurate with your stitch counting each round to know where the round ends. But, luckily, my recommendation is super cheap. I use these stitch markers from Amazon. I’ve used them for a couple years with no complaints. They’re my favorite over others I’ve used.
- Safety Eyes (and maybe noses) – Probably 99% of amigurumi requires safety eyes. I use these from Amazon and it conveniently comes with a little case.
- Stuffing – Another amigurumi essential. I’d also say 99% of amigurumi requires stuffing. I buy this giant bag off of Amazon and I haven’t had to buy any for a few months. (I normally crochet smaller things, not big plushies, so take that as you will)
- Tapestry Needle – Needed to sew yarn in a lot of projects. I honestly can’t remember where I got the ones I use.
- Scissors – Needed for cutting the yarn. Any scissors will do. The best would probably be fabric scissors though. I got a pair from Joann Fabrics.
- Yarn – Use whatever yarn weight the pattern calls for. I tend to always use acrylic yarn. The cheapest I’ve found is Red Heart Super Saver Yarn. I love it and I don’t feel like I’m spending a fortune on yarn all the time.
- Crochet Ring (optional) – Not necessary, but if you wrap the yarn around the loop a couple times it keeps the tension nice and tight. Might be helpful if you’re a beginner and keep your hands from cramping up. I use these from Amazon.
OR
- All-in-One Crochet Pack – You can get this all-in-one crochet pack that has everything you need to get started.
